Polysorbate 20 (AKA TWEEN20) is a polysorbate-type nonionic surfactant obtained by the ethoxylation of sorbitan monolaurate which functions as a wetting agent,
It is a clear or yellow viscous liquid that functions as an emulsifier, solubilizer, wetting agent and it enhances the spreadability of liquids.
It is suitable in cleansers, facials and body products. It can also be used in baby products due to its non-irritating properties.
