Malic acid
Description
Malic acid is an alpha hydroxyl fruit acid (AHA) found in some fruits like wines and apples.
It is an excellent exfoliating agent capable of softening and brightening the skin, promoting hydration, and reducing wrinkles and other signs of ageing. It is reported to boost collagen production and reduce signs of aging.
It is a milder exfoliant that when used between 1-2%, can boost the efficacy of other AHAs such as lactic and glycolic acid.
