Behentrimonium chloride
Description
Behentrimonium Chloride is a cationic ammonium emulsifier made by quaternizing behenyl dimethylamine with methyl chloride in 30% dipropylene glycol. It is an excellent conditioner, helps to improve comb-through, reduce static, and soften coarse hair.
As a preservative, it prevents the growth of bacteria and mold in personal care products and cosmetics. It’s also sometimes used as a disinfectant.
Applications: Conditioners, styling products, lotions, moisturizers, masks, and even bath soaps
Solubility: Heated oil or water phase
Usage rate. 0.5-3%, upto 5%
