Description
This is a chelating agent that contains four sodium ions, increasing its binding ability to metal ions, enhancing water solubility, charge, improving foaming in hard water, and improving product stability.
It is commonly used in products with high pH (alkaline) such as moisturizers soap, as well as clear, water-based systems needing strong chelation.
It is acts as a co-preservative that boosts the efficacy of preservatives .
